Rob’s Testimony
I was born into a Roman Catholic family. In my teens, I began to question a lot of the “traditions” and rules of the Catholic church. In June of 1997, I entered the United States Air Force, where I met and married Lynnell. Many times, she shared the Gospel with me and how I could have a personal relationship with God. I kept rejecting God. Yet, God kept speaking to my heart through preaching and the witness of others, including an airman passing out Chick tracts. On June 14, 1998, I accepted Christ as my Savior while visiting a church in Macon, Georgia. When we were stationed at MacDill Air Force Base (AFB) in Tampa, Florida, we attended West Gate Baptist Church in Town n Country. It was while we were there the Lord called us to missions although I did not know where. Then, while stationed at Little Rock AFB in Jacksonville, Arkansas, we attended New Horizon Baptist Church in Ward. Through the work there and at the base, we felt God wanted us to be missionaries/messengers to the military in Germany. Through much prayer, Godly counsel, and temporary duties to Germany, God solidified this calling.
Lynnell’s Testimony
I was born while my dad was away in Basic Training in Texas. I was reared in a Christian home and cannot remember a time when we weren’t in church. While we were stationed at Eglin AFB in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. I came to the realization that I was a sinner and was lost without Christ. I received Christ as my Savior at the age of 6 at Calvary Baptist Church there in Ft. Walton Beach. While attending the church school, I had a teacher who loved serving God and had a heart for others. She shared this love with her students. I surrendered my life to missions at the age of 8. In 1997, I entered the United States Air Force, where I met and married Rob. God has given us opportunities through each of our bases to witness to and encourage the other military families. God has given us a heart for the Military families. Through the preaching and opportunities at New Horizon Baptist Church in Arkansas, He solidified our calling to minister to and encourage the US military families stationed in Germany.
